I was featured on 2 stories in the New York Post on Wednesday, Sept 26. One was on rhinoplasty, and the other on blepharoplasty. For those who missed the stories on rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty and would like to see them, call my office for a copy. Or, send a request from the contact box on this website. More to come!
At the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery’s (AAFPRS’) national fall meeting in Washington last week, I won an elected seat, was appointed chairman of a prestigious committee, presented 3 scientific papers and gave 2 1-hour courses. The papers were “Quantitative Comparison Between Microperforating Osteotomies Versus Continuous Lateral Osteotomies In Rhinoplasty”, “Functional Rhinoplasty: Objectifying Results” and “Medial Crural Release and Advancement in Rhinoplasty”. All will soon be published in Archives of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
The courses were “Functional Rhinoplasty” and “The Physician-Patient Relationship in the 21st Century”. Both were very well received.
I was elected by the national membership to the Credentials Committee of the AAFPRS, and was appointed as the new chairman of the Fellowship Committee, a quite prestigious seat within this organization. I am honored to receive such an appointment, and look forward to working hard over the next 3 years during my terms on the committees.
The meeting gave me a chance to see some of my old fellows that I had trained. A group of 10 of us went out to dinner and had a wonderful time catching up over great food and wine.
Finally, Washington was a great place to explore while running. I ran several times along the Mall, around Congress, by the White House, and along the Potomac. Overall, a great week!
