Look What Blew in From the Windy City
September 25, 2008
Dr. C., Alison, and I just returned from Chicago, where we attended the AAFPRS (American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery) annual fall meeting. Alison and I attended courses pertaining to office management, patient care, aesthetics and skin care, and general techniques on how to make our office even better than it already is. Dr. C. gave courses to colleagues, medical residents, and fellows on “Rhinoplasty: Consult through Recovery”, “Functional Rhinoplasty” and “Getting Started in Practice”. Each of these were well-attended by surgeons from around the world and he was given rave reviews.
An even bigger accomplishment for Dr. C. is that he won a national election for a position on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is Executive Vice President-elect for Research, Awards and Development. This is a tremendous honor for him because he was nominated and elected by his peers, supporting his work with the AAFPRS, Face to Face, fellowship and academic teaching.
For those of you who have been keeping up with our website, I hope that you will be joining us next Thursday October 2nd from 6-8pm at our Fall Night of Beauty. It will give you a chance to meet Dr. C., Dr. Joseph Eviatar, along with the staff from both offices. We’ll be available to answer any questions you may have about the office, but more importantly you’ll hear about the latest happenings in Facial Plastic and Oculoplastic Surgery. There will be raffle prizes, gift bags filled with lots of cosmetic goodies along with food and wine. It promises to be informative and fun-filled so come one and all. We look forward to seeing you Thursday and if you cannot make it keep on reading and look for our next blog addition and future events.
