Injections

BOTOX® Cosmetic (Botulinum toxin)
A very popular treatment for forehead creases, we offer BOTOX® Cosmetic injections at our New York City practice in Manhattan. BOTOX® Cosmetic works by weakening the muscles that pull on the skin and form a wrinkle. It is superior to collagen for improving the deep vertical creases between the eyebrows, frown lines, horizontal furrows on the forehead, surprise lines, and crow’s feet (squint lines to the side of the eyes). Sculptra™
Sculptra™ is a new injectable wrinkle reducer offered at our Manhattan office. Injected beneath the skin, this synthetic filler works to eliminate the appearance of hollows or deeper depressions. Sculptra™ is an FDA-approved material consisting of lactic acid. Unlike other injectable wrinkle solutions, which last for several months to one year, early studies performed for the FDA have shown that Sculptra™ can last for as long as two years. For those who choose Sculptra™ to refine their skin, more than one injection session may be necessary to achieve the desired result. Restylane®
Restylane® is another filler material that our Manhattan practice uses to enhance lips or eliminate wrinkles. During treatments, Restylane® is injected beneath the skin covering deep lines, or into the lips, providing a firm, full appearance. Restylane® is a man-made, FDA-approved material. It is manufactured from hyaluronic acid, a natural sugar/protein complex present in the body, which significantly decreases the likelihood of an adverse reaction. Because it is smooth, soft, and long lasting (it lasts almost twice as long as collagen, or four to eight months), Restylane® is rapidly replacing collagen as the material of choice, not only at our Manhattan office, but also through the entire world. Artefill®
Our New York City practice in Manhattan is proud to feature Artefill®, the first FDA- approved permanent soft tissue filler to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Artefill®, also known as Artecoll® throughout Canada and Europe, is a dermal injection made of polymethylmethacrylate microspheres suspended in bovine collagen.
