Plastic Surgeon Dr. Minas Constantinides – New York City & Manhattan

A renowned facial plastic surgeon in New York City and Manhattan, Dr. Minas Constantinides has been repeatedly recognized across the United States as a leading member of his field. Currently, Dr. Minas Constantinides is the Director of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology at NYU Medical Center, which includes Tisch Hospital, Bellevue Hospital, and the Manhattan V.A. Hospital.

Dr. Constantinides received his baccalaureate with honors from Brown University and his M.D. from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. He underwent specialty training at Harvard in general surgery and at NYU in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery. He completed a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in Toronto with world-renowned facial plastic surgeon Peter Adamson, M.D. In 1994, Dr. Constantinides came to New York City to practice as a facial plastic surgeon. He has been listed among the best doctors in New York in the field of plastic surgery by the Castle Connolly.

Dr. Constantinides is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at NYU School of Medicine, and is a board certified facial plastic surgeon who is also certified to practice otolaryngology in New York City and Manhattan. In addition to his practice as a facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Constantinides is committed to the acquisition and development of new knowledge within his field. As a facial plastic surgeon, his main research interests include merging cosmetic and functional surgery of the nose, and the effect of infection on implanted material in the face.

Because of his in depth knowledge of the latest and most effective techniques of facial plastic surgery, Dr. Constantinides routinely lectures to medical students, residents and other plastic surgeons. He has been invited to speak at local, national, and international meetings of plastic surgeons and other professionals, and his articles and book chapters on esthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face are widely published.

Below is our mission statement that we send to every patient. I have looked at it many times over the years and feel that there is no better time than now to share it with all of you. The reason I am doing this is because in times when it seems like the things you want may not seem justified, our office not only treats patients with the utmost respect and honesty but we enable you to achieve the results with financial counseling and various payment options.

1. We value your time. If you have to wait longer than 45 minutes after your scheduled appointment time to be seen, your consultation is free.
2. We make it easy to communicate. Everyone who works here is clear and straight forward in all our discussions with you. Everyone in the office has email, making inquiries easy to address if you cannot find time to call. As an added bonus, Dr. Constantinides is fluent in Spanish and Greek. 3. We remember the little things. During your pre-operative visit we not only give you all of your instructions for pre-operative care before surgery which includes Arnica Montana to alleviate bruising but you receive your post-operative care kit as well. This comes complete with dry shampoo, a specialized cold pack to minimize bruising and swelling,topical Arnica Montana to minimize bruising even more, and so much more. We also give you customized make-up by Jane Iredale which is matched specifically to your skin color, and lastly we give you three lymphatic drainage treatments to decrease whatever swelling you may have post-operatively. We can arrange for hotel stays, car service and escorts home for you while you are under our care.
4. We are available. Before, during, or after your consultation and are always happy to hear from you for whatever reason.
5. We are discreet. We will never discuss you case with anyone without your permission.
6. We are trustworthy. Dr. Constantinides has performed over 2000 facial plastic surgeries, and many more in-office procedures such as injectibles, during his 14 years in practice. He values his relationship with you, and deeply appreciates the trust you put in him. He is honest and forthright regarding what he can do and what he can not do.

Our office-based surgical suite is fully credentialed by JCAHO, the same organization that accredits all the hospitals across the U.S. We only use board-certified anesthesiologists who have worked with Dr. Constantinides on hundreds of cases. If you prefer, or if your case is complex, your surgery will be performed in the hospital at NYU Medical Center.
8. We are internationally respected. Dr. Constantinides is a leader in Facial Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has lectured in numerous national and international forums and is highly sought after as an expert among his peers.
